The Pentair Pentek KDF GAC is a two media cartridge and are effective for Chlorine taste and odor reduction in high capacity situations and where lime and scale buildup problems occur. The Pentair Pentek unique Radial Flow Carbon filter design offers the benefits of granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration such as low presure drop, while at the same time significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with other GAC-style cartidges.
