Pool Filter Media
Sand is the cheapest and the standard media for most pools. It performs adequately and offers good value for money.
Other media available include glass pearls and Zeoplus.
The glass pearls offer matrix filtration. Achieving down to 3micron filtration glass pearls are much better than sand and can reduce chemical consumption by up to twenty percent with less backwashing required. This proves both time saving and also gives higher purity water for your pool.
Zeoplus reduces the odour associated with chlorinated water and has some softening properties where iron and calcium are present thereby improving the quality of the water.
